About Gordano District
Scouting in Gordano is very much alive and happening locally supporting over 1000 young people in an active, forward thinking youth movement which provides quality programmes of activities for young people aged between 6 and 25.On this site you can discover what Scouting offers for all ages form six upwards, so please browse the site and see what FUN scouting is in the Gordano area
There are 10 Scout Groups in Gordano District, which cover the main areas of population.
The Groups are the life line of Scouting and provide an exciting range of activities and weekly programmes.
The Scout Group covers the age ranges from 6 to 14.5, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
In addition there are 5 Explorer Units which form the Explore Scout section. These units provide a full and ranging programme for the 14 to 18 year old Scouts.
The District is also linked with the Gordano Network who offer Scouting to those aged 18 to 25.
Leadership within Scouting is from the age of 18. Most of our leaders support Scouting via the Scout Groups. We also have a number of District leaders who provide a series of activities to support the Groups.
We are lucky to have Scout Fellowship in the District. This is an Adults group which provides support to Scouting locally as well as arranging a number of activities for the members to participate in. Fellowship now includes all Leaders and helpers within the District.
